Royal bath rituals often featured ingredients like milk, seasonal herbs, rose petals, mogra (jasmine) and more. Though pressed for time, we women know that a long luxurious bath ritual elevates our mood and helps us look like a million bucks!!! Milk, Honey & Rose Essential Oil Bath Soak

Draw your bath as usual. Add 2 cups powdered milk or 1 1/2 cups full fat milk to the water along with one cup organic honey. Add a few drops of rose essential oil, rose petals and step in. A luxurious bath recipe used by women over centuries, a milk and honey bath soak helps your skin feel radiant. Milk contains lactic acid that brightens the skin, while honey hydrates summer parched skin. Rose essential oil has anti inflammatory properties that helps reduce redness and also elevates mood. Soak in!


Himalayan Pink Salt & Lavender Essential Oil Bath Soak

For one bath soak, take 1/2 cup epsom salt (available easily online) and 1/2 cup Himalayan pink salt and mix well in a bowl. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil and mix. Pour into your bath water. Himalayan Pink salt helps detoxify, while lavender oil helps calm frizzy nerves. If you can add some crushed dried lavender sprigs to the bath. If you have extremely dry skin add 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil to moisturize as you soak.

Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey Bath Soak

Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV) contains alpa hydroxy acids that help remove dead skin cells, reduce age spots and blemishes. Add 1 1/2 cups ACV to your bath water along with 1/2 cup honey and soak in for at least 30 minutes. Do not use this soak more than once a week.

Epsom Salt & Essential Oil Bath Soak

Epsom salts are magnesium rich and soaking in a bath soak made with epsom salts, help skin absorb magnesium directly. Epsom salt baths are known to relieve stress, promote sound sleep and detoxify the body. Add 1 cup epsom salt and few drops of geranium or lavender essential oil to your bath. Soak in for atleast 30 minutes. Doing this ritual once or twice a week before bedtime is highly beneficial and promotes sound sleep.

Green Tea, Epsom Salt & Citrus Peel Bath Soak

Green tea is highly beneficial, when used in a bath soak too. In a mixing bowl, mix together 1 cup epsom salt, 2 tbsp loose green tea, some dried citrus peel from lemon or oranges. The citrus peel used used be dried and gently separated from the white pith with a sharp knife. Tie the mix in a cheesecloth and add to the bath water. Sit back, relax and sip on some green tea as you soak! Heavenly isn't it?
