7 Types of Shoes Every Woman Should Have

They say, “A picture speaks more than a 1000 words”…we say,  “Good pair of shoes speaks volumes!!!”  Shoes can make or break first impressions and are the ultimate window to your style quotient. Wear a worn out pair and risk being judged as someone who doesn’t care for her appearance and a “flimsy” pair sends a wrong message of being thrifty. While there is a sizable amount of research done on “What can you tell about a woman from her shoes” let's take a look at some pairs, which we must have in our shoe collection so that you have a pair for every occasion.

1. Daily Casuals

A. Flat Sandals
While juggling with our daily hectic lives, walking in comfort becomes extremely important…and that’s where flat sandals come into play. However you need not compromise on style for some comfort, there are so many snazzy options out there. Walk into any store in a mall or go online, there is variety by dozens of options to pick from- vibrant colors, embellished with studs, cute shapes and more.

B. Kolhapuri Chappals
These handcrafted, leather open-toed, t-strap sandals are super comfortable and available widely in some very interesting designs. These vegetable dyed flats look amazing when paired with Indian Ethnic wear like Sarees and Indian Salwar kameez.

C. Mojaris
Speaking of flats, Mojaris/ Punjabi Juttis (our very own produce of North India) are a very cool option to team up with both denims and ethnic wear. If ever you happen to visit Punjab, especially Amritsar, do not forget to go and check out some of the exquisite designs available in Embroidery, Sequence and other interesting options.

D. Ballerinas
Comfortable, stylish and chic…ballerinas are a great option for daily wear … and the best part about closed shoes is that they keep your feet clean and soft.

2. Wedges

When you want heels and comfort to go hand – in – hand, wedges become your friends. This need typically arises when there is some amount of walking involved or for moms who have kids to handle. You can look tall and still not loose your balance

Opt for good peep – toe or strappy options widely available in the market. You can dance, walk around and basically have fun and still keep that height from dawn to dusk!!

3. High Heels

Deepika Padukone recently said “Either wear heels that are dangerous or don’t wear them at all” … You Go Girl!!! We are not a fan of kitten heels either but practically, most women find even the thought of dangerous heels scary. So if you are one of those, it’s okay to opt for something that is manageable for you. Having said that, make sure you include a pair of Black Strappy Heels in your shoe collection because the good thing about these is that they can be worn with anything… skirts -long & short, dresses, denims, capris, jeggings and even ethnic wear.  A pair of black strappy sandals is versatile, while gold & silver heels come handy on special occasions.

4. Peep Toe Pumps

A pump, bootie or sling back dress shoe that shows off stylish toes were a big rage in 1940s. They keep appearing on the fashion scene in a cyclical manner and are sexy, elegant, stylish and flirty and can serve as daily wear too. If you can carry off these, be sure you will turn a lot of heads around.

So all you beautiful ladies…. your shoes say a lot about you … so get yourself some of these stylish pairs and let your feet do the talking!! What are your favorite types of shoes? Do let us know in the comments section.
