Corona Virus: Few Basic Precautions Which You Can Undertake During The Outbreak

We are living in uncertain times. The outbreak of Corona virus has drastically changed the dynamics on every single scale worldwide. From continents & nations at large to cities, towns, little suburbs and streets - the human population of this entire planet faces a serious challenge.

So many factors in life are completely out of our individual control & this COVID - 19 scenario is no different. We may not always be able to control the environment around us. Which is when we take responsibility of ourselves & those who matter first and hope that these little measures we take  will improve the picture at large.

Here are a few precautionary measures which have been listed widely. If there is anything more that you can do to make matters better, please add that to the list. These are pointers which have been advised by experts. If you know them great, in case you don't, then these should give you a brief idea.

1. Wash Your Hands Thoroughly

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap & water, while rubbing at least 20 seconds. Wash your fingers, thumb, every possible stretch on your hand - covering your wrists, finger nails, the back of your fingers. Use a clean towel to dry your hands. Wash your hands as often as possible.
2. Use Sanitation products

If a washroom is not anywhere in vicinity, then the next best way to ensure maximum hygiene is by using a hand sanitizer. Please note that using a sanitizer is not the same as washing your hands but it must be used when washing hands immediately is not an option. This can happen anywhere - while traveling to work, in public places, in restaurants etc etc. Hence keep a pocket size sanitizer handy with you at all times and ensure that every single member of the family also does the same.

3. See a doctor immediately in case of any doubts

Should any doubts arise in your mind with respect to your health, please visit a doctor immediately. Besides, these times are not ideal for procrastination as far as your health is concerned.

4. Stay Updated

Stay updated with the latest developments on the virus situation and do not fall prey to fake news on television and forwards on WhatsApp. Stay vigilant.

5. Cover your mouth while coughing and wear a mask if you feel sick.

6. Comply with orders

If the higher authorities in your life (government/ company) have released an order, then co-oporate and comply. Keep monitoring your temperature.

7. Travel out of the city or over seas only if necessary. Stay at home if you feel unwell.

8. Minimize contact - like hand shakes.

9. Keep your homes clean and well ventilated.

These are just a few important measures which you can take to ensure the well being  of yourselves and your loved ones.
