Facial Hair Removal- Home Remedies to Remove Facial Hair Naturally

Lustrous, long and thick hair are a dream come true that can be achieved by following a holistic diet, regular oiling and a natural hair care routine. But facial hair on the other hand are a matter of great stress for women all over the world. Usually referred to as pink fuzz, facial hair sometimes becomes such a cause of concern that women are ready to go to any length to get rid of them. Therefore, they subject their soft facial skin to the harshest of treatments like waxing, shaving or applying facial hair removal creams. Such treatments can turn out to be quite bad for the skin, leaving it permanently damaged.

The most effective long-term treatment yet has been the laser treatment, but it is not hundred percent successful for many and is also extremely expensive. However, there are some great home remedies that answer the question- How to remove facial hair naturally. In addition, they are inexpensive, nourishing and not painful.

Gelatin face mask:

Ingredients :
Gelatin 1 tsp
Raw milk 2 tsp
Turmeric 1 pinch
Honey ¼ tsp
Lavender oil 2 drops

Application: Mix the gelatin and warm raw milk well. Next, add all the other ingredients. Make sure before applying the mask the hair on head is secured with a band or a cap. Apply the mask on the face with the help of a pack brush, avoiding the sideburns. Leave the mask on for 30 mins or till it dries completely. Then peel the mask off carefully in the direction opposite to the hair growth. Do not wash for another 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, wash your face with warm water. Repeat the procedure 2 times a week.

Eventually, in a few weeks, you will have a smooth and soft skin and the hair growth on the face will reduce.

NOTE: The mask can be smelly and, therefore, adding lavender oil is important. Also, if this mask becomes sticky in the bowl while mixing, just microwave for 5 secs to make it more fluid.

Besan Pack

Ingredients:
Besan 2 tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Raw milk or rose water 2 tsp
Lemon juice ½ tsp
Coconut oil 1 tsp

Application: This pack can have many versions, as it is one of the “dadi ka nuskha” type of remedy and is used in many households in India since centuries, especially for new born babies. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients together, make a paste like consistency and then apply on the face. Leave the pack on for about 20 minutes or till it is 70% - 80% dry. Now, start taking the pack off by rubbing it with your fingers in a circular motion, moving with greater force when rubbing against the hair growth. Remove the whole pack like this and leave the face for 30 mins without washing. After that, rinse with warm water without applying any kind of soap for the whole day. Repeat the procedure 2-3 times a week and enjoy a baby soft and clear skin.

Egg Mask

Ingredients:
Egg white of one large egg
Corn flour 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp

Application: Mix well all the ingredients together. Dab the whole face with baby powder or corn flour and with the help of a pack brush apply a thick layer of this mask prepared. Leave for 5 mins and apply another thick layer on top of this layer. Now, put pieces of a tissue paper on top of this wet mask, over the area covered by the mask. Let the mask dry completely, which may take around 30-40 mins. Now, stretch your skin on the neck as this would pull out a little mask from around the chin area. Next, while pulling against the hair growth, remove the whole mask and rinse the face with warm water. Repeat the procedure 3 times a week for some amazing results.

Note: Leave out the sideburns and tuck the hair well with a band or a cap before applying the mask.

Moong Dal Pack

Ingredients:
1/4th cup split moong dal
Milk
Turmeric ¼ tsp

Application: This is one of the easiest methods for facial hair removal. All it requires is soaking the moong dal in milk for an hour or two and then grinding it in a thick paste. After that mix the turmeric in the paste and apply as pack on the face and let it dry. Once the pack is almost dry, start rubbing the pack in a circular motion applying more force against the hair growth. To make the remedy effective, repeat at least 3 times a week and enjoy a supple soft hair free facial skin.

Quick fix remedy:

Ingredients :

Chandan (sandalwood) powder 1tsp
Fresh Aloe vera gel ¼ tsp
Peel-off mask (the amount mentioned on the pack for one application)

Application: Mix all ingredients in a bowl, make a paste and apply a thin layer on the face with a pack brush. Let the pack on the face dry for 5 mins and then apply the entire remaining pack. Let the mask dry completely. Start peeling by stretching the skin on the neck and pulling out the mask close to the chin. Remove the mask and rinse the face with warm water and moisturize. Repeat the procedure 2 times a week.

All the above methods are slow but are very effective in the long run leaving you with not only hair-free face but also a well nourished one. Be consistent and patient with these home remedies. They are good for all skin type. However, note that they are effective mostly for very soft pink fuzz but not effective enough for very thick hair that can only be removed with laser treatment. Also, the Besan and Moong dal packs can be used on the whole body; however, be careful not to apply these packs for very long hair.
